Caring for these plants is straightforward, but it does require adherence to some basic guidelines throughout the year. Here are some tips for caring for aeoniums:

Lighting: Aeoniums prefer bright, but indirect light. During the warmer months, if you keep them outdoors, it’s best to place them in a spot where they are protected from direct sunlight during the hottest part of the day. In the winter months, they can tolerate more sun.

Watering: Water aeoniums moderately during their active growth period (spring and autumn) and reduce watering during the summer and winter months. Allow the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid water stagnation at the roots to prevent rot.

Temperature: These plants prefer cooler temperatures at night and warmth during the day. We strive to keep all our plants at a temperature not lower than +15 degrees Celsius at night in winter and not higher than 30 degrees Celsius during the day in the summer heat.

Soil: Use well-draining soil designed for succulents or cacti. A good drainage system is critical to preventing root problems.

Repotting: Repot aeoniums when they become too cramped in their pot, usually done in spring. Be careful not to damage the fragile roots during repotting.

Fertilization: Fertilize aeoniums once a month during their active growth period using a cactus and succulent fertilizer, diluted to half the recommended concentration.

Pruning: Pruning can be done to shape the plant or remove overgrown stems. The best time for this is spring.

Overwintering: If you live in a region with cold winters, it’s best to move aeoniums indoors or into a greenhouse where the temperature is maintained above 15°C.

Humidity: Aeoniums tolerate dry air well, but if the air inside is too dry, the leaves may start to dry out at the tips. In such cases, you can increase the humidity around the plant by spraying.
