Placement in partial shade: Place the cacti where they will receive only diffused light or stretch a net over them if they are outdoors and it is not possible to provide cover over them (polycarbonate). Use the shade from other plants, a 30-40% shade net, or a special canopy.<\/p>\n
Watering regulation: Reduce the frequency of watering but increase the amount of water at each watering. It is important that the soil completely dries out between waterings to avoid root rot.<\/p>\n
Ventilation: Ensure good air circulation around the plants. This can be done by placing the cacti on a balcony or in a well-ventilated room. In our greenhouses, we installed fans (5-10 medium fans per 100-200 square meters of the greenhouse).<\/p>\n
Using light substrate: The soil should be light and well-drained to prevent water from stagnating at the roots. You can use a cactus mix by adding sand or perlite.<\/p>\n
Substrate for mulching: Mulch the surface of the soil with coarse gravel or small stones. This will help retain moisture and lower the soil temperature.<\/p>\n
